when fleshing a coyote do you leave the saddle on and just get the big pieces of fat and meat or does it need to be clean like a coon?

thanks

Your fur check depends on your put up of fur, sloppy or not finished and you will wish you had it done right.
Fur needs to be clean and dry, well combed and ready for show for top dollar.

I remove all fat, meat, grease and saddle material, flesh the ehads and turn the paws. Paws not need if your seeling to the fur markets though

I've always cleaned up the fat and meat chunks, but left the saddle. I've never heard a complaint from any fur buyers over it.
