I was thinking of getting a multi-position ladder to use for indoor calls.

I thought it could double as a step ladder inside and regular use ladder outside.

Thoughts?

Thanks

I think that this is where height, weight, and especially age, are determining factors. I would never give up my lightweight aluminum stepladder for something that weighs half as much as I do, but then, I went from being an 18 year old wrestling champion in high school to being a 70 year old grandfather of seven. ( Where did those 52 years go? )

P.S. A lot of guys like those Little Giant type ladders.

I use a little giant ladder all the time. It's great to have for those times when you need to work over a set of stairs, or to use on top of a roof. They're pretty heavy though, and the wide base seems to get in the way a lot, at least compared to a regular step ladder. I don't really think of them as a practical replacement for an extension ladder either, unless you stick to the shortest one. Maybe it's just me, but I sure can't put up a fully extended 24 footer.

the multi ladder is the best ladder you will own, i am 6'9" tall and about 370 pounds and i can't knock those ladders over when i am up on them, very stable, i use em all the time outside as step ladders or extension ladders, get the 26' from werner and the 13' from werner, the 13' you will use alot indoors

I like my little giant. But I have not tried all the others.

ditto, little giant!

Now have an xtend and climb too that fits in our smart car and goes up to 16.5' as extension ladder.
Works on a multitude of heights indoors as well and I've found it handy though my "trust" of it versus
the lil giant is not near as high.

We've had the little giant for years, have used it more than any other ladder. Height is its only limitation
that I can see, I don't mind the weight of it, now if we talk large folding werner ladders I hate the weight
of them, but we have the largest version so hard to make lighter I suppose, still bombproof.

X2 on the werners, I have both and both fit in the back under the cap. If I had pick just one it would be the larger of the two as it has more overlap from 6' step to extension ladder. I have one less reason to unload the 28' extension ladder.
