March 9, 2013:

This weekend's plans are full of trapper training.

The local fur council is doing the MTA Trapper Training course today and tomorrow. Unfortunately of the 26 signed up, only 6 have showed up to take the course (what can ya do?)

March 10, 2013:

Ended off the trapper education course today with 6 graduates. As well as some awards to a member of our fur council and long time member of the trapping world.

Although low attendance was a factor, the course was a success, again.

Yes, our fur council is responsible for either the first or second highest amount of Trapper Ed. course put on in Manitoba. Our guys just did one in Grand Rapids.

March 11 - 17, 2013:

Gonna be very honest here. I am bored!

Since my last post the highlights have been warm temperatures, which are now delayed to not start till the 25 of March...

When it warmed up to around 0, I walked over between fur shed and dead pile of skinned animals. Found out I had a skunk munching...
Shot it the next night.

And now as patiently as I can I wait for the weather to warm up so I can hopefully get some spring muskrat and beaver trapping in..
Yesterday at work I found out how deep the snow really was trying to haul bales out of a hay field.

For comparison, the grill guard on the tractor is about 4-5" over the top of my head on flat ground. At the far left of the picture the snow was up to the top of that. Really wish the melting would start.

Can anyone help me out there?

Yes I heard. Her mom lives 10 minutes away from me.
Unfortunately it's looking like it's a true story.

I just read the wolf story, more than a little strange. If It's true that is definitely isn't a healthy wolf.
She would be very lucky, I have seen what wolf jaws can do and been bit on the throut you shouldn't be around to tell the tale. Glad she's ok, whatever happened.
