Been fortunate so far but I use an AES trap zip tied inside the Comstock, she ain't getting the babies. Just bend the trigger to clear the smaller trap and while she's working to get at them she trips it. Those AES traps are 1/2"x1" and strong enough to hold up to her in a confined space.

This sounds like a good solution and I'll try it if I'm ever tempted to use the coon kits as bait again.

All I can tell you is that it has worked for me several times up to this point. I make sure that the door to the AES is against the back of the Comstock and wire or ziptie it so that it won't move and get in the way of the trigger.
