What is and isn't somebody's business can sometimes be a thin line. My thoughts here are that there is a difference between a private individual who was invited into a home. Saw a legitimate child endangerment and made the call. Or the government or a random person playing Big Brother.

Just because something is legal doesn't make it smart.

Yeah, good point, ADC. I'm sure I'd be beside myself if I encountered that situation, and be nearly strangling the parent(s).

The other part of this that bothers me is that the roofers shut the bats inside in the first place.

Granted, they may not have known, but I see it happening all the time. Animal causes damage, home owner gets someone to fix damage, animal gets trapped and dies and homeowner gets upset because they can't figure out where that awful smell is coming from.

Nobody ever thinks that maybe they should call me FIRST and get the problem solved before patching begins.

If they had done that, then maybe there would not have been an issue of blood on the pillow.
