Caught my first Grey Fox this week and need to make a board for stretching her on. Can someone give me the top dimensions for the curved part of the board? I think the overall measurments are 48" long by 5 and 1/2" at the base. Also I have never stretched an animal that requires being boarded fur side out. How long do you let it dry in this Texas 70 degree humid weather, fur in, before flipping it fur out?

Make it 54 in. long. You'll be glad you did. Don't know if ya have reds or not but they will fit better on a 54 long than a 48.Sometimes I run out of board for the tail on the 48's.
Just measured one of my boards:
top 1" flat, 3"- 25/8, 6"-31/2, 9"-4", 12"-41/4, 15"-41/2, 18"45/8, 21"-43/4, 24"47/8, 27"- 5", 30"-5", 33"-51/8, 36"-53/16, 39"-51/4, 42"-53/8, 45"-53/8, 48"51/2, 51"-51/2, 54"-51/2
Those are my measurements on the boards I use.
Just keep feeling the hide every once in a while till it's kinda tackin up then turn it. Don't forget a belly board.Keep the front legs out straight to let them dry underneath. I use a piece of cardboard no matter if I cut them short or leave them a little long. RD
