How does a #11 work on Grey Fox? I don't have any rats near me anymore and I have a bunch off #1s I want to convert to #11s to use on greys.
If traps work like the Antis say......I would have no fingers.

I hope I wont have to include a setting video for setting a dogless. Do you like center swiveled or side of the frame? Have you ever looked at a #5 SLS?

Yes they can be set fairly easily over the knee. Now I imagine tomorow I will have to spend some shop time to get it started.

I realy enjoy making the perfect tool for the job. One that every time you set it youu know it is the best trap you can place there I like not having a questions in mind that if a critter steps in that set it will still be there when I make my next check. I would like to get a respone from someone who has diffrent expiernce than I do. I talked with a guy that sets exposed for cats and if I were trapping rock there would be some modifications. Nice to hear what works for others. Wife is STRONGLY sugesting that we make a sliding green house for spring and late fall veg.

J M it has work for you I agree , what works for you or me may not work for others, I believe theres nothing new under the sun , just new to us , the exchange of info.is good.and it might help others a long the &shorten the learning curve from someone and when came on here, ie sign on.i believed that what it was.and for the most part has been. In my limeted expieriance I love how easy it is for me to set long springs, bed long springs, and their great holding power. Which leads me to my only bugaboo about them. When I use my Bridger #5 double longs for beaver trapping they're a joy to set and bed, but a real PIA to get a 40 lbs + beaver out of them when I make back foot catches.
With a coil spring I just throw the swampy booger on its back, put my thumbs on the base and use my fingers to compress the springs enough to release the back foot. With by Bridger's it become a dis-jointed contortion act for me on a sloppy river bank. Anyone here know what I'm talking about and have a fix?

Sleepy Creek makes a body grip setter that also works well with the big long springs. Comes with U deals to facilitate setting. mac

Schmitt trapping supply has dbls setter is pretty nice that locks I got two them for working on and mods for dbls. Will work nicely for ya.
