I agree with pretty much all of the above, with the single exception of sgs' call for a grubbing skunk. Were you just turned off by the demanding customer, or the nature of the work? If the former (and there are callers who can be quickly determined to be Grade A P.Ricks), then, by all means, turn it down. If it's the latter...well, let's just say that it's easier to deal with the four-legged skunks than the two-legged kind.

One thing I've learned about late night calls: there's a segment of society that don't know the difference between 2 am and 2 pm. I believe Wink touched upon the subject of these citizens.

It was definitely the demanding attitude of the customer. I like skunk jobs but this guy had my blood pressure soaring within the first minute.

I remained polite but turned down the job.
