For those who run Sleepy Creek #3's and #4's, are the #3's easier to set than the #4's?

Love those big pans, Red. I had put my Bridgers in the closet but I think I'm gonna dig'em out and do a little modding.

For those who run Sleepy Creek #3's and #4's, are the #3's easier to set than the #4's? They do make a trap setter that gerald schmitt sells that locks for longspring I use it when modding traps.. to keep the set. For those that are getting up there or have weaker hands and when you get caught they are nice to use if you don't leave in the truck

Tncat did you get those pad kits from JC Conner's? Good looking setup. Yes ....I had some that fit #2 Bridgers ...reformed the metal . The pads where to short, I keep rolls of J C's pads I had to use. I have some # 3 Victors DLS also with pads. Now my brother has been saving scrap metal and cutting my metal strips at his work place for me.

Why can't trap manufacturers be honest about jaw spreads? Sleepy Creek #3 offset DLS...suppose to have a 6 inch jaw spread. Whether inside or outside, it doesn't meet what is claimed. Also got a Bridger #4, same thing, but the picture wouldn't load.

Measure inside of jaw lever to lever sides I have noticed that some traps will measure out that way. But you are certainly right.

And the offsets are sposed to be bigger too. Inside is 5 3/8 out side 5 7/8 ? On those 3s ?

Yep. The 5 7/8 is generous, its more like 5 13/16.
