How'd everyone do this year? Anyone notice an increase in coon numbers?

Whitetail i was seeing areas that should have had more coon like years past.

I use the same system for staking my DP's. I try to make sure they are tight around the tree so as to limit the movement up. Although I have been wondering when it would happen to me as well. LOL

Duke 1 1/2's should be enough. Set them up on a drowner rig system attached to a cement brick or something heavy that will hold them.

is it true that if you have a DP on a drag they will go up a den?

I posted something in the Lure section about coon bait that i make and use and have seen a big jump in catches and size's ...

I use cheap dog food put it in a rubbermaid container , pour fish or salmon oil over it letting it soak in , then i take Fox Urine and spray down the whole mixture and let it stand to absorb all liquid ...

You will be shocked at how much your catch rate goes up and how much bigger the coon are , and that they are mostly big males !!!

I use this mix in DP , also in Pocket sets it works FANTASTIC !!!

I guess that would depend on your drag (if that's where they wanted to go). I usually use 20lb plates. They don't go anywhere lol

Are those rail road plates, aixsponsa ?

Good thing there is still good money to be made nuisance trapping raccoon at least !

Times of low prices like these are a great time to look back on threads like these, and hone your skills so that you are a better trapper when prices recover.
