Eaten, how much do you want to spend, max? I don't have a number for that. I'm generally a buy quality person, but don't want to spend stupid money for a knife that will be beat on as a general rule. I want to be able to trust it and have it comfortably fit in my hand. Yesterday I was looking at a fixed blade utility knife that was my Grandfathers that I was using to cut sheet foam and started thinking, "gee, I wish they still sold these things." It had a nice tapered blade with a flat back, fairly comfortable handle, fit in my minimag sheath, etc. I figured I'd ask what you guys used.

Iv'e had a Buck 110 on my belt my whole life...use it for everything Amen. My father gave me one when I was 12. I still have it and use it often. I'm afraid to bend/break the tip so refrain from prying with it.

Broke the tip on a Buck 110, ground it back to a point. Then found out they have a life time guarantee. Sent it in and they replaced the blade and make the knife look new. The letter they sent with the returned knife said if you break a Buck knife don't try to repair yourself by grinding. Just sent it to us broken we repair or replace.

That's about the best news I've had since I found out I didn't have an STD in 1997! And that was good news!

I didn't know that the buck 110 had a life time guarantee, i snapped the point off mine [probably wrong tool for the wrong job, i seem to remember something about floorboards and something dead], i do have another but the one i broke had the nice finger grips, only problem is i bought it at Bass Pro Vaughn ontario so i don't know how to sort it out.
