This is my first time trapping. Just want to thank everyone on this forum for the wealth of knowledge. I am starting with 7 MB 550’s. My buddy has a 80 acre farm that has quite a few coyotes. Put traps out 2 weeks ago. So far we have caught 3 coyotes, 2 raccoons, and 1 possum. Hoping the cold weather coming next week gets the critters moving. The kids are having a blast helping.

Good job! Awesome for the kids. Always good to see kids outdoors, instead of indoors playing with electronics.

I can do it from my iPhone. Download image resizer app and the jpeg/png app. Change the biggest number on image resizer app to 640 x 480. Save it then open the jpeg-png app and convert picture to png and save. You can download to the forum then.

are you from Ogema, or trapping around Ogema?

I have 80 acres and a cabin just out of Ogema. I'll run traps when we are up between xmas and New Years. We live in Waterford which is down south. I'm running traps here by my home now. Buddy has a 80 along fox river that is loaded with coyotes.

Got another nice male and a possum this morning. Had to check traps on the way to basketball game for my son.

I was wondering.....you said you had a possum, and I've never seen one north of 64.lol....I do a lot of work in the Ogema area, and trap around there a bit also

I'm using all dirt hole sets. I'm using Hiawatha for bait, Canine Force for lure, and red fox urine as a attractant.

Thanks guys. Being my first attempt at trapping, I ran 9 MB550’s to start. To date I am at 14 coyote, 3 coon and 5 possums off of the 93 acres I am trapping. Already ordered 6 more traps for next year and some cable restraints.

Number 15 for the season. Popped all traps last week due to vacation and weather. Reset 3 traps on Tuesday and got number 15.

Ogemaone, what types of sets are you running? Don't have many yotes down my way, but the few times a year I get up north there are a lot. No success on them so far this year.

I’m running all dirt hole sets. Using MB 550’s with wax paper and peat moss. Hiawatha bait and canine force lure along with a shot of fox urine on the rock. All me dirt sets have a rock for attraction and to keep them coming in from the dirthole side.p

#19, nice male. Can’t believe the trap fired with 10-12” of snow on it. Reset this trap last Monday, we had 7” of snow Friday and 5” more Sunday.

Beautiful coyote!! I would keep that one. If not you should get top dollar for it if you handle it properly. Your kicking butt for a first timer!
