When you see somebody walking around in a uniform thats fat, insignia improperly displayed etc I feel sorry for them. Seem to be craving attention.

Sons cousin was on a job telling everybody Iraq stories he had heard from my son. I told my son and he called him. Put a stop to it.

There are programs available for vets with drug problems etc. I get why so many are reluctant to get VA help. Dont want put on the list. I would think its better than begging though and sleeping outdoors.

I used to wear my fatigues into town at times. Like grabbing lunch at a fast food restaurant when it was soul food day at the chow hall. (nothing stinks worse than cooking chitlins), or running into town to buy something real quick after work. Enough other guys doing that it pretty much went unnoticed.

A lot of them use it to try and get money and the like though

I occasionally wear my officers hat and blouse to support local vets returning from Honor Flights to DC. I can no longer fit into my 1994 dress uniform. I salute every vet that comes through the gate.

Had a fake seal wannabe at a place I worked. He lasted about a week after called him on it.
