Ruger made a few but pulled them fairly quickly as magnum has a strange pressure curve for a blowback action. Yep.The casing slipped back some before it locked onto the walls of the chamber. Some of the casing would be hanging out and when fired it blew out. Just so everybody understands. Keeping them really clean helped but the big manufacturer's were not going to have the liability of it.

Have you seen the Ruger PCC carbine , it is in 9mm right now but there is talk that there will be a 22TCM barrel made for it
That could get interesting
if you don't know what 22TCM is it is an Armscorp invention to put a high velocity 22 in a handgun the case looks like a necked down 9mm it is really a 223 case cut down then necked to give it greater web strength it gets 22mag rifle velocity with a 5 inch barrel and 45gr round nose .224 bullet about 2050 fps , in a rifle it can get 2750fps.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Ruger just came out with a 22 mag. Semi auto Good looking rifle, google ruger and check it out. I just googled Ruger and looked through all of their new rifles and could not see it there. I also did a search through their semi autos and they had no .22 magnums listed in their semi auto rifles. Could you please provide a link as to where you spotted that one? By the way, I do own the Ruger 10/.22 Magnum but that was made a long time ago....just don't see any new ones offered.
I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Vermontster,
The .22 mag is more than enough for Coyotes. It works well on most everything up here from Fox to Wolves. I like the 40 grain soft points with a metal jacket up to the lead. I put one into a Wolverine last year, down and out in about 3 seconds.
My Super Wide will pull your broken down 4 stroke, up a hill backwards, with you on it!

Superwide, I have been thinking of buying a Keltec CMR 30, but was curious how reliable it is running it dry. Saw your post on here, wondering what your experiences have been with it. Don't see wolves too often, my .223 is too big for lynx and fox, the CMR 30 looks like a handy rifle on a snow machine.

If money is not a issue. H&k 300 is the way to go in a auto magnum. Very pricey. Winner winner chicken dinner-hands down the best 22 mag semi auto out there!! I have owned/own them all.HK 300 chucks the brass like 100 ft!! and it out shoots them all-bar none!! Worth every penny!!

ruger quit making the 22mag in 10/22 becasue poeple where barreling the action in .17hmr and blowing bolts up in thier faces. and for leagal reasons sold there stuff to magnum research. As magnum research still uses the action in there line up.
There is no try or try not, only a coyote in the trap or not.

I have a Ruger 10/22 WMR that may or may not be on the market for a lot less than Gunbroker prices. Never had any issues with it, whacking 13 stripe ground squirrels at 100 yds with 40 gr. Winchester HP.

I have the Reminington .17 HMR auto and have had it blowback on me once. The clip blew out of the bottom of the gun and was ruined. I now keep it super clean and have not had it happen sense. It is a gun that was recalled but i kept it.

I have a Remington 597 that is very accurate with cci ammo but you can’t put more than 5 rounds in the magazine or it will jam on the first shot. I think I have 4 magazines for it and they all do that. Not a big deal but it’s advertised to hold 8+1. X2 their magazines are garbage
