I disagree. If your kid is a drug addict, you blame the parents? Some yes, some no. If you know your kid's a druggie or bat-crap crazy, and you have guns in the house that he can get his hands on, you have shown negligence and should be punished. When a school calls a parent because their kid can't follow the rules, probably more than half the parents make excuses or try to blame the school or the teachers. We have so many rotten kids because we have so many rotten parents. Baby-daddies and baby-mommas are counting on cell phones and video games to raise their kids. We may have a generation of kids of which a high percentage are incapable of handling the responsibility that goes along with some of our rights.

Sad.I think a lot of these kids that do this are social outcasts in the school, and or bullied by the other kids. They finally snap from the pressure and go off the deep end.Social media today means there is no escaping the ridicule/bullying. Part of it maybe Boco. When I was in hi school I walked as an option to school up a rail line in the fall with my shotgun. Shot pheasants. Gutted and hung them behind the Ag shop, put my shotgun in my locker. The last couple years there they asked us to put our guns in the shop teachers office, or leave them in our cars. During that time I was no angel nor were many others. We had many knock down drag out fights, during school and after school. Never once did I or anyone I knew ever threaten or consider going for a gun, wether winning or losing a fight. I am 60. So what has changed? Osky Actually streaking came into vogue in school for a time there, does that qualify as guns out?

I never thought I would say that.
Just give me one thing, that I can hold on to. To believe in this livin' is just a hard way to go.

I changed schools several times growing up,and right from grade two on you were tested right off the bat.I learned right off you had to beat up the bully then you were a-ok.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

The technology that kids have their noses buried in all day has never been tested to see what it does to people. Especially developing minds. That has changed. Yes, I’m typing on my iPhone now.

When I went to school, even in grade school, there was a big wooden paddle hanging on every classroom chalkboard.

So the question is what has changed to make others lives so disposable to these killers, and where do these shooters get the insane idea that it is their authority to take lives?
Prayers to all, and especially for the parents and family who waited for their phones to ring, but they never did.

America has become a country in which we look for reasons to believe someone is different from us rather than find things we have in common with them..... we are becoming a hateful people.
