I doubt they will go door to door confiscating them,they will,like you said,make it a felony to posess one,and go from there.Most law abiding citizens have more at stake to take the chance of a 10 year prison sentence than turning in one gun.A lot will keep them but will be taking a big chance if they ever try to use them. That's great. Everybody will turn in their AR's and mass shootings will stop... Until the next nut uses a semi-auto handgun. Then we get to turn those in. Then we're left with revolvers... Until a nut gets his hands on a half-dozen revolvers and kills a couple dozen more kids. It will never stop. Ever. The only thing that stops one human being from murdering another is a conscious choice to NOT do it. No debate or legislation is ever going to change that. Mike

Didn't I just say the same thing? I'm sure you did. I just didn't feel like wading through all 10 pages of responses. Someone I know made a post about 18 school shootings on fb. Someone replied and told him to check out what qualifies as a school shooting. Pretty interesting... If I walk over to my small town school and shoot myself behind the bus barn... That is labeled as a school shooting. If cops are in a firearms class and there's an accidental discharge... School shooting. Bullets found in a student's locker or vehicle... Yep, listed as a school shooting. So once again, the media will twist whatever bull$#€+ they can to drive the agenda forward. Mike

My prayers to the victims and there families. If you take God out of society it makes room for the opposite. We reap what we sow as a society. I do believe years back they were talking about the consequences of all the violent video games kids were starting to play. Maybe this is the result. Cowboys and Indians or Grand Theft Auto? You can't even get a kid outside today. One thing is for sure, Satan was incarnate in that kid.

I heard an interesting factoid on the Paul Harvey Show back when he was still alive. Think it was around the end of B.Clinton second term. Harvey said that according to the FBI Division of criminal statistics, weapons used to murder more people in the U.S.
THAN ALL OTHER WEAPONS COMBINED
Are hands and feet. Although the data is definitely not from yesterday I am confident it is still accurate. And as an aside

How did this guy even get captured alive? I never heard any details on his arrest so I'm wondering if he was actively shooting why he was not shot and killed.
On another note I think if the shooters were not ever given notoriety by having their names plastered all over by the media these incidents might not be so frequent. I'm pretty sure a lot of them want the "fame" and want to be remembered for something....the more horrific the more press they can get. I'm not saying that the shootings should not be mentioned in the news just that the names of the shooters not ever be included so that they get no recognition whatsoever.
I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!
