Catering will get him nowhere. Especially since we all know new laws won't change anything. They don't properly use the ones we have now.

Honestly, I don't know why bump stocks are even back on the table, it wasn't used this time to my knowledge. However, moving the long gun purchase age to 21 should have been seen a long time ago.

I think those are things we can give ground on. There are on line instructions to accomplish the same thing bump stocks do without spending $300. Young people who have been raised trapping and hunting are no danger when it comes to gun purchases, but to the many who have not I think it is alright to run purchases through the parents until age twenty one. I may be playing the devils advocate here, but let the discussion begin.

Our sportsman's club financially supports 4 different high schools who have trap shooting teams. The number of kids shooting has really grown each year. More girls getting involved each year too. Watch the main stream media manufacture their fake news to do their best to put an end to this.

He is just given them enough to keep them some what happy. Kinda like taken your wife on a date every once in awhile.

Meanwhile handguns kill WAAAY more people. Do something even if it's wrong is the attitude.

One thing I think everyone should realize, both left and right; you can't put Trump in a box, that's what drives the establishment crazy.

Age of majority is age of majority. If you're 18 you should be able to buy a gun. I do not agree with the current 21 year old handgun law either.

I do not mind the 21 law for handguns, too many kids are hotheads these days but I think shotguns and hunting rifles should stay at 18 (by hunting rifle I mean squirrel guns and big game rifles). Here in MN you have to have a permit to purchase handguns and AR15 rifles/receivers, it has been that way since I moved here nearly 20 years ago, it is a minor inconvenience that I do not like but it isn't terrible (I am used to it now) but they kept the process free and it takes my local police department a couple days to get me my new permit and if I get my carry permit which is good for 5 years it replaces the purchase permit.

I am surprised Trump is moving towards the ban on bump stocks, I figured he might put them under the NFA regulations at most. I am not sure what they can do to make the background checks "stronger" but I agree they need to make the police departments and other agencies work together to keep the system updated better but outside of that there is nothing new can be done, as repeated to the point of insanity, a crazy/mental person or anyone bent on murder will find a way.

Lots of compromising NRA people here. Should change from NRA to NCYGRA.

First thing i thought when i saw all the news stations airing the kids getting on busses to be hauled all over the country to protest? Who is footing the bill for all those charter busses?

This was awhile in the wings, but they sure came outta the closet within minutes to go after guns.

Hope most reading this do one thing........Ask yourself if you align with the ones footing this protest.

I don't have a problem with the proposal... As long as we raise the age to exercise all of our other constitutional rights too.

I think Trump is following advise from the NRA to limit the damage.

Lots of ideas with no real end game in the plans really being put out there, about as useful as a lead balloon!
