Sashimi prepared salmon and tuna are my favorite. Unfortunately, it's not easily found where I call home.

I love Yellow Perch.....that being said, I would pass that up in a second for a slab of Bluefin Sashimi. Like BigSky though, tough to find where I live.

In this area- A 10lb flathead or so is hard to beat for the white filets. Some of the best eatting!
If I could catch more Walleye would be there too.

1. Ocean Sculpin
2. Ocean caught chum (smoked)
3. Any other salmon still wiggling.
4. Lake Trout also still wiggling.
5. Fresh caught Halibut.
6. Smoked Albacore or yellow fin.

i do it all the time,bluefin sashimi with wasabi and soy

And enough wasabi to make your eyes water! Darn, now I gotta make a run to the city for some sushi....thanks a lot!!

yellow perch, blue gill, brookies, and walleye for freshwater

rockfish (striper), croaker, grouper, tuna, wahoo, swordfish, and shark from the salt

Man I'm hungry for fish right now but it's blizzarding. Can't even get to town to buy any. Even breaded fish sticks would suffice at this point.

I like fresh steel head.
Grilled lake trout.
bluegills pan fried.

I’ve not eaten all fish in the world, but my favorites would be.

Grouper

Sea Bass

Flounder

Seared rare yellowfin tuna

Or almost any type of sashimi.

White bass, bluegill, perch, walleye, 10" channel cat before they starting getting the fat on'em.

Don't know if I ever ate a restaurant fish that was cooked right.

King salmon that's been on the herring hard, killed and bled then baked or grilled immediately.

Brook trout from a pond full of scuds, laid on green sticks over sugar maple coals with a sheet of tinfoil laid over top to reflect heat back down and hold the smoke in.

Alder smoked black cod.

Flathead with all red removed, then CLEAN water bullhead, then channel/blue with yellow and red removed.

Ling Cod

King salmon, grilled on the deck of a salmon seiner while waiting for a tender to take the days catch, watching the sun set behind Mt. Iliyamna on the Kachemak Bay. Best fish in the world.

blue gill perch walleye in that order. to far away from saltwater to know/remember what it taste like. now ifin any or you along the coast wants to ship me some fresh caught salt fish i will smile and say thanks!!!!

ps. throw a couple lobster in the box as well.....
