You have to have a ton of experience In knowing the lay of the land where your trapping or denning. The dog thing Is a good Idea but you have to know where to let out the dog. And of course you need a trained dog to do It.
This year I'm going to have a real In on where coyotes are denning. We radio collared 12 of them last fall. So It's going to be interesting as to where they den and where they move to by trapping season. They plan on digging some dens and ear tagging the pups. But that will probably mess up a normal fall shuffle.

I'll Pm you the name of the Biologist I'm working with maybe the two of you can put your heads together. I think they have collared 45 or so coyotes. This Is the first year of an on going study.

He was a control guy in carbon county, was still Denning and doing control into his seventies, I think John Graham worked with him a little while
