I live real close to copperhead road that the song is about, its not as big as it was 40 years ago but there's still a lot of moonshine made and pot grown up here in these mountains. My senior year of football, that was the song they played when we entered the field. You should have saw the look on some of the city folks faces, I think they thought they were in the movie Deliverance. Lol

I have sampled shine from a lot of places.By far the smoothest shine(poteen) comes from the west of Ireland.They take the fire out of it with seaweed in the mash.The very best of it(from Galway) is used in pubs to "boost" the commercial whiskey without altering the flavour.
