So I was out exercising my hounds on a county dirt road. Half mile from the last house behind us and twelve miles to the next. Dogs stay in between the fencing on ROW. Ecollars add bite to reinforce my vocal commands. I see a vehicle coming I stop and get out call the dogs and make them lay down on the ditch side of My Trk.
Well today the vehicle was a county sheriff with two young deputies. They say I'm not allowed to run my dogs on the county road. I said I had no idea since we were outside of the city limits. They say don't want to have the dogs run over. I say neither do I that's why I called them to me and made then lay down till your vehicle is well past. This road is straight as a string and flat enough that a vehicle can't get closer than a half mile before you see it. Very little traffic as in probably two per hr. The sheriff's Trk was the only one I saw today. They did say if I was on a two track on the forest I'd be ok. My response was that's thirty miles one way.
Somehow I went to bed in WYOMING last night. And woke up in a liberal hole.
