Why should we care about kid's opinions on adult matters? Because they are being killed. Will they be less dead if they protest an inanimate object ?

Why should we care about kid's opinions on adult matters? Because they are being killed. Such a teacher mentality. So you use kids to make your point and to meet your agenda. Wow is right. How about hitting the problem with common sense and go after government and law enforcement for not doing their jobs. How about going after schools that sign contracts to ignore crimes. Oh that's right its better to attack millions of law abiding gun owners as that's the true agenda of your party. And it's they that don't care about the kids as they could of fixed the problems years ago but they wanted more shootings to get their agenda pushed.

When people protest their right to defend themselves, how can they be taken seriously? What's next? Are they going to have an assembly to protest their right to assemble?

Why should we care about kid's opinions on adult matters? Because they are being killed. Ummm...Ahhh...it is the job of the Parents or Guardians to keep the children safe. You may see children as peers,I myself do not.The thought that we should ask the children for the best way to keep them safe is so absurd it defies logic. No different than if I asked the teenager that had their home repeatedly burglarized what was best for home security.Unless I was a complete idiot incapable of a coherent thought, why would I.It has been proven time and time again that gun free zones don't work. Its time to go back to proven methods. You can buy smaller caliber pistols for under $200.Its time the children receive the same protection that keeps politicians safe.

Florida had an armed police officer. He decided to do nothing. The good guy with a gun did not stop the bad guy with a gun in that instance.
Maybe armed teachers could have been an answer or deterrent, but if we can't afford pencils and paper for classrooms how are we going to afford a concealed weapon and training for teachers? Of course, many will be against raising taxes for such reason.
Kids taking their safety into consideration is not liberal brainwashing. We are born with Constitutional rights, even if you don't agree with their use.
Frankly, the more school shooting that occur the more danger to our second amendment. You better act now or have less of a leg to stand on in the future. You can sit back and trade kids for your second amendment rights but eventually you will wish you acted sooner.
And of course throw out libtard, brainwash, agenda, indoctrination, and other buzzwords but the truth is there. Time to listen to kids and do something meaningful. No where am I saying to ban anything, but it's time to find a common sense solution from both sides. This is pure LIBERISH X2 Gov. Back in my day teachers gave both sides of the coin and let us decide which side of the fence we went to. That has gone to the wayside now. Now they push and push their personal ideologies and agendas with no shame on to our children. There are some good teachers out there but the lions share, like AC, are horrible people not willing to allow kids to make their own choices in life.

Sounds as if America's public school system has become more of a propaganda youth program. Children are being instructed in what to believe...and to believe in a certain system...even at times encouraged to align themselves to a particular party within the system...reminds me of something from the past.

Schools around here are teaching horrible things like math, science, reading, and critical thinking skills. Sounds as if America's public school system has become more of a propaganda youth program. Children are being instructed in what to believe....

Many left-wing lawmakers -- including New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) -- took part in Wednesday's coordinated demonstrations by students to protest gun violence in the wake of last month's Florida high school shooting.
On his program Thursday night, Tucker Carlson pointed out that Cuomo and Sanders didn't attend the walkouts alone.
"They were escorted by bodyguards, paid for by you, who went to protect them," Carlson said. "Those bodyguards were armed, of course, with guns."

Seems a bit hipocritical to want to raise the age of adulthood regarding gun ownership, then wanting to enact sweeping legislation based on the thoughts of a few adolescent children..!?

If teachers want to throw law abiding gun owners into the mix of all of us are dangerous and bad people for owning guns than yes expect us gun owners to return the categorizing of of all you teachers of being liberal antis. Teachers have been over stepping their authority for way to long. It needs to stop. Public schools are not the place to divide this country. If teachers thought they had it hard before they are in for a rude awakening as more people are going to lash out at them.

Horrible person? Lol. You have no clue. If you had a child in my class you would still have no clue. Your child would be raising trout in the classroom, participating in Archery in Schools, being a member of my outdoor club, having their pic on the Outdoor Wall of Fame, and you would probably be happy. You and your child would have no idea about where I stood on various subjects.
Real easy to sit behind a computer and make assumptions.
I am a law abiding respectful gun owner. I have been for years. I raised my kids to be also. I now am teaching my grand kids how to handle and shoot guns. We all not only enjoy shooting guns we all also know their purpose. But yet your profession wants to control my right and they are using kids to promote their agenda. If teachers are going to categorize me as a bad person than expect the same in return of being categorized. Maybe start a wall of shame in your school hallway with a picture of all the teachers.

Personal political leanings of faculty and staff need to stay out of the classroom, and largely do, in my experience. I do feel for the teachers having to deal with parents who deny the existence of evolution and climate change though. Both are issues of science not politics. ..."The drought in California is caused by global warming, unless your a republican which don't believe in global warming." A direct quote from one of my daughters high school teachers. I talk with my kids so I know exactly what's going on. I don't live in a fantasy world.
