I’d try them once or twice if cooked right. They might work for bait. Give it a go...

Why not call them testicles, that is what they are. Just like calling them mountain oysters... they are testicles.

Most folks around here band calves so I guess we miss out on them.

Anywho, good luck.

Stop over cooking your meat! It isn’t gamey, it’s over cooked!

Gordon Ramsey, maybe…

We cut our calves over here so every year I get about 4pounds of them to use for bait.
Cubed up and tainted just a little they make a very fine bait.

I prefer sheep or pig myself, the beef ones have always been tough when I’ve had them, they say turkey are really good also, as bait they should work great.

Unless you some how let them go bad I sure wouldn't use them as bait. Too good not to eat.

Tough? you overcooked them or didnt take the outer sac off.

Been awhile since I had any. last time was at a tavern in Sharon Springs. They were almost all breading . pretty disappointing for what they cost.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Everyone here bands anymore with large herds. Faster and easier so nuts are hard to find here.
