100 million dollars of taxpayer cash is flown to AL shabob terrorists in Somalia every year by people gaming the low income daycare benefit system.
Last week the MN senate discussed actual legitimate private daycares being cited by department of human services because "their grass was too pokey".


The article says that public officials were aware of the Somali fraud and did nothing. We'll see if anything happens to them. Meanwhile, MN working families areally suffering a lack of LICENSED daycares. This licensing B.S. is an exclusionary practice and has little to nothing to do with the safety of the kid. It employs an army of bureaucrats. It's maddening.

With civil forfeiture, in it's willy nilly state, I doubt they could get through at the airport with bags stuffed full of cash. Sounds to fishy to me.

Its tough investigating these things. There's a big difference between knowing something and proving something.

Licensing for daycare centers is not BS. It is about protecting kids, sanitation, quality, nutrition, and pretty important stuff.

If anything they need more. Another 200,000 would do good.

Government isn't in charge of those things Charles; parents are. It is nice to think that government is capable of doing those things well, but they have proven inept as most other endeavors they creep into.

Also the fraud is happening because government subsidizes low wages paid by employers by paying the cost of childcare. Whatever government becomes involved in seems to become riddled with corruption. Yet we alays want more?

I'm pretty sure that subsidizing everything, is Constitutionally sound.

I don't believe it is constitutional issue. It is an issue of two political parties ruining America through government dependence and strangling individual responsibility..

If only we had a third party............

No where in the Constitution does it mention 'The Right To Be Responsible'; allowing individual responsibility severely handicaps the socialist agenda and it should stop.
You have no right to be Responsible and it must be curtailed.

If a care taker is exposing children to any of that stuff use existing child endangerment laws against both the caretaker and both parents.
Any form of licensing is is simply a Tax. Most of the revenue from such taxes is usually spent on the enforcement and collection of the tax, but it does keep a lot of guberment workers busy.

It's not anything of the above,...its pretty obvious! Play the game, You'll be rewarded. Does that ring hollow?

I had a Somali come here to buy pigeons. He spent over an hour looking at pigeons in the Summer heat. When we got back down to his taxi, I heard a really strange noise. I asked him if he left some sort of animal in his car and he said no it was his daughter. She was less than a year old. She had cried so long, she no longer sounded like a baby. He could not of cared less. I imagine Somali child care is pretty horrid.

I have had another Somali pull a gun on me.

I don't believe any more Somalis should be allowed in the US. I have met around 30 Somalis and have a very, very, very low opinion of them.

I deal with hundreds of foreign born people a year and the only ones I really don't want around are Somalis. I don't know how you Minnesotans can deal with them.
