Dogs that ingest something that NEEDS to come up can be given 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide mixed with 3/4 cup water. Works pretty well to mix water and peroxide together and put it into a water bottle, have one person hold their mouth open and pour it down. It foams in the belly and in about 2 minutes everything comes back up. Had to use this last trapping season when the owner of the place I stay at stopped over for dinner and his dog ate one of those green mouse/rat baits. We used this when our golden retriever ate xylitol. We'd have lost her if we waited much longer. She was getting low blood sugar when we gave it to her.

Must be a caulker spaniel Good one Adam.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Don't use that peroxide mix if you like your dog, it could kill him. Peroxide is toxic. That 1-4 ratio works as a mouthwash/gargle, BUT DO NOT SWALLOW, IT CAN KILL YOU! I'd use a milk/mustard mix first.

I'd use a milk/mustard mix first. Vet told me to use the peroxide trick before. It’s safe. Safer than caulk. Caulk causes hemorrhoids.

Since it sounds like your dog is going to be okay I will sidetrack a bit here with a story: I had a shorthair, Tygh, that was a bit of a countersurfer if left to his own devices, unsupervised. My girlfriend at the time had just baked a loaf of banana bread and was letting it cool in the glass dish it was baked in. We both went outside for something for about a half-hour or so and when we came back in there was no banana bread on the counter. Instead there was about 2 or 3 small shards of glass on the floor, no crumbs, and not nearly as much glass as there should have been on the floor from that dish breaking. It was obvious the dog had pulled the dish off the counter and eaten the entire loaf of banana bread, including most of the glass dish as it broke. I called the vet (it was now 9 or 10 PM) and he said to keep and eye on him, feed him about half-loaf of white bread to help cushion his insides from being cut by the glass and call him if the dog started acting weird or in pain. Amazingly he was totally fine. After eating the shattered shards of a baking dish he was totally fine. Long story short, I think your dog will be fine after eating a little caulking.
