Just imagine how many more trappers you would have at the auction if it was held the weekend after the season was over!

Typically your cats that grade blue are you going to be your grayish clear blue looking backed cats which usually have some good spots and rosettes. Here’s a few that I would consider to be blue. I send quite a few each year.

Side view comparison of a very red and a blue

I’ll see if I can find some more comparison ones

Small cat on the right side will be blue

I don’t know if this cat graded blue or not but here’s a way to tell if the backs are really rosetted by looking at the belly. Look at the cat in the middle with the big ol magic marker dots on the belly, Pretty much all the cats I’ve seen like this have a grayish blue back with big rosettes and reddish rim around the skirt and those big polka dot bellies, kinda casty but I think those are the prettiest cats.

Same type of cat I was describing but a back shot

Some blue ones in the top string

Thanks Greg, that helps immensely in understanding what I'm looking at. I agree those big black magic marker spots are easy to recognize and make for a gorgeous cat. Thanks for the help.
