I have no idea how you got that many years out of a pair of shoes , you must not wear them every day.
New Balance , about all I wear any more , me and my flat feet and well I have size issues currently wearing A NB 608V4 in 16EEEE
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

My wife just bought me pair of Keen shoes, I am impressed so far. She has wore them for several years. mike Keen makes an excellent shoe for a great price! I bought a pair of Keen Targhee II Mid Waterproof Boots back in September of last year and they quickly became what I wear daily. I paid $89.99 on Ebay. They are very comfortable and actually are waterproof (unlike many other manufacturers). The only drawback is they are on the hot side, we've had a few days here in the upper eighties with high humidity and my feet got hot. May have to switch back to my cheap, lightweight sneakers for the summer, or maybe look into some Keen sneakers since my old sneaks have about had it. I bought the Keen Hikers to replace a new pair of Vasque Breeze 2.0 Waterproof Hiking Boots that sucked. They were $120.69 from Amazon and were very uncomfortable, very narrow in the toe box. I wore them for a month and they never did stop hurting my feet, retired them in favor of the Keens.
Eh...wot?

I've had 2 pairs of keen sandals over the years and love them. I'm rough on shoes but my preferred choice of regular shoes are skate shoes. With a messed up back and knees they give me the most comfort. I usually get about a yr or 2 out of them. That's wearing them daily and doing almost everything.

I have some keen hiking boots they are decent , I bought them onsale and the toe box is just a little small so my little toe hurts by the end of the day but they are otherwise comfortable and have non metallic safety toe.
but as you can see from my shoe size finding them in my size is often a challenge. Tweed it is worth the trip to Black Earth WI visit The Shoe Box they only carry shoes they can get all the sizes for. if you are a more normal size check out The Bargain Box across the street.
they sell New Balance and Keen in black earth go try some on.
when you find a pair you really like call up and order a second and possibly a third pair before some one discontinues them and have the next pair waiting for the day your feet or back start to hurt because they are worn out then change pairs.

Shoe $$ are ridiculous so I wear the $12 Velcro-type fastener shoes from Walmart in the summer. Cheap crocs when I'm not in the dirt.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Wolverine Dura Shocks. I know they're a pain to put on. I've been to the Shoe Box years ago.
