I'm really looking into doing it. Sitting here in the dark with a ulcer on my cornea, it is looking better and better. After 22 years of contacts I'm fed up with tossing money in the trash.

Had mine done about 20 years ago when I was 30. They offered something special at the time as far as insurance but I can't remember, but it did make it
to make sense for me. It was great for about 10-15 years then I started wearing glasses or contacts again for sporting events and hunting. I can read anything
up close but not so much at a distance. The procedure is smooth as can be, they really have it down. I thought about checking into a touch up?

I had it done about 15 years ago and am very happy with it. Very easy procedure and I could already see better before I left the hospital. I'm older now and still have to wear reading glasses but that's pretty common for us older guys either with or without lasik. My insurance covered the procedure. They lock your head into place pretty good so I doubt you'll sneeze. Good luck.

I had mine done on one eye about 20 years ago. Never had a problem until this year. The eye has been cloudy or blurry lately. Have an appointment with an optometrist in July. I do need reading glasses.

Had mine done about 15 years ago and glad I did it. Even corrected my astigmatism. Found out recently that your eyes may continue to change and some need it a second time years after the first procedure but that's not always possible for everyone due to scaring and such. Still don't regret doing it and would do it again.

Is it worth it for someone in their 50's?

Considering most people live past 75 I'd say yes.

Had it done ten years ago. I need reading glasses now but that's it. I'm 51. I wore glasses since I was a kid and could not see far away at all. My vision was 2010 when they got done and I can pick a squirrel out of any tree. Doc said watch out for a blow to the eye.
You won't sneeze! They put a contraption on your eye and it sucks right to your eye ball. It has a blade in it that makes the cut perfectly. There is a green laser they shoot your eye with and my Doc said to look into the laser and try not to move my eyeball. The better I could do that the better you can see when it is finished and it worked great. in and out in 1/2 hour and then take it easy a couple days over the weekend. No big deal. I know of no cons to do this.
I paid cash and they gave me a huge discount.

Cataracts...

I had Lasik in 2002, then had cataracts.

I know quite a few folks who had them after Lasik...

I always worry about a power surge , say from lightning or such and burning a hole through my skull .

If you have a cdl drivers license. Never even consider lasik mono vision. It can be a auotmatic failure.

I had PRK done and would recommend that over lasik. Longer recovery time, but more stable with less chance of infection or other problems.

What's PRK?
My wife would love to have Lasik, but can't because of an eye disorder. Maybe this PRK would work for her.

8 years ago for me and still seeing 20/15. Would definitely do it again
