Always interesting when these protest that place. When a white man gets killed or shot no protests that you hear of but when a colored person gets killed the protesters come out in herds. Aren't we all people regardless of color? It get harder to listen to the news each day from stories like this and what the press wants you to hear only.

Today any felon with a gun not following simple directions is seen as a victim when I was growing up you followed simple directions to not get shot, today that seems optional with these idiots! The one common link to the majority of shootings is people not following simple directions for the good of everyone involved. (let the games begin!) LOL

LOL I think in the current headlined case it was a kid that got ahot in the bacl while running away. The odficer that shot him was just sworn in that morning. I think more robust psych evals nees to be done

There's nothing worse than the tyranny of the majority.
The only thing worse than living in a democracy is the violence of its death.

we were just going over our new hire procedure for the PD , the seminar I have been watching is very enlightening , the hiring procedures of many departments have been very lax for a very long time.
comprehensive background investigations of prospective hires are very very important but they take time 30-60 hours of time or more and travel to the persons home town(s).
the presenters both former California Highway patrol chief and lieutenant stated when they went back and looked at their problems 95% of everyone who caused a serious issue was an out of state hire that they could not run a proper background investigation on at the time they needed governors approval to leave the state to run any investigation outside of the state.
how many times has it been found when a bad apple cop is found that he is on his 2nd 3rd or 4th department WHY would another department ever hire another agencies Major liability fired officer.
a friends son was shot to death by a bad cop, in his own home he wasn't suspected of any criminal activity , he had been the victim of a car jacking a few days prior and had just been released from the hospital he was having medical complications and an ambulance had been called for him , he had however identified the cop to his mother and the nurse as the guy who car jacked him. well that cop came through and cleaned up the evidence even though he was supposed to be restricted to desk duty at the time. but in ILL if you are in uniform when you shoot someone you have no liability in it , he was fired and moved on to a 4th department a few weeks later. the city paid out a wrongful death suit and the taxpayers were left to pay for the bad hiring practices of the city that should have easily known he had been fired or left under suspicious circumstances from 2 other departments.
some time upfront can be hard to get in the budget but it can save 100 fold or more on the back end , if you can weed out 95% of your issues on the front end that can lead to so many fewer issues and the majority of the rest can be caught in other reviews ,every 3 year background review update.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

That's why we're not a true democracy. Quite so. But its astounding how so many in American complain about the protections afforded to minorities - whether they are racial, political, religious, or some kind of social minority. Our system of government is set up to protect the rights of minorities and this is a very good thing. Yet I hear so many griping about it. You even hear people complaining about the electoral college. It seems like we are slipping more toward pure democracy all the time.

Snowy.... Youre more than free to protest when a white guy gets killed. Unless you and your peers have to go to work or something silly like that. Unlike the more common group of protesters.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Burgh noon news said it was the shooters first shift, but he's no rookie, fourth dept. The dead kid had no gun but did have a clip/mag in his pocket. They showed someone with a BLM poster then I turned it off.
I don't know of the rest of the country, but if network news is the same as here, I think they are a lot to blame for the tension.

I suppose its good that the patriots of the American Revolution didn't put "going to work or something silly like that" above something they felt strongly about. It's all about where priorities are placed. Its easier to belly ache on the internet during working hours

[quote=Tweed]Snowy.... Youre more than free to protest when a white guy gets killed. [/quot Yep I can. I don't not saying protesting is bad but the issue I see is when a colored man gets shot they protest when white gets shot they don't protest. Get it? My answer to the question was well said in post #2. Thanks I'm talking about the thousands of these killings/shooting never hear of whites protesting. Maybe they do news doesn't cover them if they happen that I see any way. http://www.fox10phoenix.com/facebook-ins...ed-in-6-murders

There was a shootout in North Braddock (surprise surprise) 13 minutes earlier by occupants of a car that matched the vehicle, (complete with bullet holes in the window and where police found 2 weapons on the floor of) the young man was a passenger in said vehicle, when they were pulled over, they ran instead of identifying themselves,no way the officer could have known if he was armed, but it seems he had a good reason to think he was.
