HD is nothing. Do you older guys remember how the American Textile Industry went belly up while the politicians sit on their dead butts and did nothing while China, Mexico and a few other countries destroy hundreds of thousands of U.S. jobs back in the 70's and 80's. This unfair trade crap got to stop.

Well, you could all buy some of the company stock. That way you’d get a vote at the annual meeting if you wanted to go. But if all you do is work there or buy their bikes, you don’t get to vote.

Yep my mom had put in 18 years at US textiles when they went belly up, and hundreds of locals lost there jobs. We had 3 big textile companies within 20 miles of here, (North American Rayon, US textile and another) now they are all overseas, so I definitely remember the textiles going under

If you were a shareholder WHY would you vote to stay in the USA ?

Of course shareholders want to make money via dividends, etc. But shareholders who work at these facilities tend to identify with those who might lose their jobs. Thus they’ll vote to hold onto their American locations until the handwriting on the wall says to move or see share prices / dividends tumble.

I doubt there are a lot of shareholders working at HOG.

Look at the share price over the last 52 weeks. Down almost 25%. When is a loss big enough to make someone vote for something different ? I suspect there is still more downside for Harley

I agree 100% on Harleys and all other motorcycles.

The Sooner those things are off the road, the better.
