Guys, we are starting to look pretty good! I had a learning curve here (like usual) because I never set one of these up in June. I realize now that the colds sides are hard for people to bring and keep cold for days, so it will work great to have Fur Harvesters go pick up a bunch of nice cold stuff on Saturday afternoon!

We don't have lots of our usual garden stuff right now and I still hope someone from further south might sneak us a few garden treats!

I will be on site on Friday and you will see signs go up at the northeast corner of the north horse barn. In the meantime, some folks will already have dropped items off in coolers, hopefully with lots of ice. As soon as Zim and I get there and get everything inventoried, we will be making ice and propane and supply runs as needed.

I am looking forward to seeing all of you!!!

It’s a smaller cooler. Maybe 48 qt? If I can squeeze some bottled water in after the ice? I will.

Bringing 4 trapping T-Shirts. 2 of them for kids & 2 adult sizes.

Got a good night's sleep at the hotel last night. We set the room temp for 60 degrees and it actually got there while we went out for some supper! Too funny. We had to push it back up to 69 - plenty hot for a summer evening for me. We're up and getting ready for the day!

I hope you all have a great meal. Patrice, my niece cancelled her wedding two days ago, leaving us no time to arrange the trip. I cannot explain how I feel right now. I know you are good with computers, so could you post some scratch and sniff meal pics. Lol!!! Have a great time all!!!!!

We had a great time last night! We fed 240 people and brought in $785 which we dispersed as follows:
$250 to the Fur Takers
$250 to the Wisconsin Trappers Association
$285 to the Trapperman Discretionary Fund

It was wonderful to meet more of the Trapperman family! What a blast! I thanked everyone for everything last night during my announcements, but right now I want to thank again the people who sent things from afar without even being here. WIssmiss, thank you for those beautiful cupcakes, including some extra special ones for Labor Camp and a big one for me! HobbieTrapper and Swift4me, thank you for your cash donations that really made everything work up front. We made propane and supply runs - including loads and loads of ice in that heat! Thank you for helping out our day all the way from Idaho, Maryland and France!

I brought a camera but barely got a chance to take a photo while we were running. We had an excellent crew but it was unbelievably hot and we were worked to exhaustion. We got everyone fed before a storm rolled in. When it did, it dropped the temperature, so it all worked out beautifully in the end. We got to work on clean up and stayed for the Labor Camp Post-Feed Party with the first cooler air in days! We'll be back on site to finish cleanup and packing this morning.

It sounds like the feed was another outstanding success. We all thank you, Patrice and labor camp workers, for the hard work y'all did to put on this massive undertaking under such arduous conditions. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. I know I missed out on a great time by not being able to make it there.

Paul, we're all looking forward to the TMan Feed in September when you can join us! Everyone is on board and lined up for September already. After we conquered this one in the heat, we're all thinking that September will be a breeze!

We mentioned you at the Feed, of course, but it's not as much fun when you're not hiding around the corner trying to avoid the limelight while we sing your praises! I'll get you in September!

Another “OUTSTANDING” job Patrice!!!! You are a slave driver with great organizational skills. Even with the oprresive heat and humidity, you always wear that big smile.

I met some great new people, reminisced with ones I usually only get to see in Marshfield. But best of all, I got what I really had planned for; Robert Waddell’s hog control trip!! I’m super excited for next spring!

As handitrapper said, and i double it. Will have to make a twice as big batch of maters and cucumber salad as it disappeared so fast and some people didnt get any... looking forward to September.

I would also like to thank Lee Steinmeyer for dropping off a couple jugs of his homemade wine which made an appreciable attitude adjustment in Labor Camp!
