I know several people that find it hard to kneel on their knee but others that have no problems keeling after a replacement. I have no issues kneeling on my implant. It depends on what brand implant that your surgeon uses, they are not all the same.

Not sure what your ability to get up and down will be my buddy had both of his knees done years back. We talked about modifying a walker and turning it into a set making tool to minimize the trips to go up and down for supplies and making it easier to get back up with when the sets are made. By mounting tools, dirt and supplies around the lower frame of the walker it would be a one shot set and done station.
Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

Have not had my knees replaced YET but think it is coming. Have had both hips replaced. Always had real strong legs. Could walk all day. They cut so much muscle to put the artificial hips in I think they damaged some nerves in each quad. I need something to push up off from to get off my knees these day. Not complaining real bad as I can still get around. Need a bucket or Loring pack basket to get up with. I think in one of Trappers Arts videos he said he had false knees. As I remember it he had a small stool to kneel on and the rig had handles that came up off the stool and could be used to hoist yourself up with. If I had a VCR I would re-watch it to be able to describe it better. Mac

I know of several guys who've had their knees replaced. One guy had one knee done and it turned out well. The other two guys had theirs done on both knees. Both had the same outcome. The first knee went very well for both. The second knee, not so good. After almost two years, redoing the surgery, and infection setting in, one of the guys is finally able to return to work.
The other guy said he would never recommend a knee replacement after the second knee was replaced on him. He said it was totally different from the first knee he had done, he endured pain and many sleepless nights for almost a year. He claims there are things he can't do that he could do before the second knee replacement.
I've heard hip replacement is a snap compared to knee replacement.
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never let the dumbest ones lead the pack.

I don't know if this the exact model but my uncle used something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/SONGMICS-Upgraded-Kneeling-Foldable-UGGK49L/dp/B01CDU8T5C/ref=sr_1_6?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1531759449&sr=1-6&keywords=garden+kneeling+pad
Sorry, I can't seem to get the link to copy. Just search "garden kneeler" on Amazon. Works as a seat or kneller with hand rails.

That all. Except trapper 7 I think! Yikes, JK. I have surgery tomorrow at 2:00 pm. I understand the risks. Know many people nit went well. The knee hurts a lot I am active, and coach H.S. girls Fatspitch softball team and teams all summer. Also an athletic director. I am on the go we also raise beef, bow hunt, rifle hunt, small game hunt, trap. I need this knee to quit hurting all the time like it is now. Last night sleeping was useless. Wake the wife up hollering in pain. So thanks for the input all. I am going in positive, work hard, do as I'm told, and promised to listen to my wife.

You haven't seen pain yet my friend. The surgeon fills your knee with pain meds to get you out of the hospital because the insurance company would rather pay for meds as to pay for another few extra days in the hospital. Take the pain meds as directed pain or no pain, because you will more than likely be in a lot of pain 24 hrs after getting home once the meds wear off from the hospital.
Keeping it iced and elevated is the key to keeping the swelling down. Oh ya. I hope you are not a person that likes to sleep on your side because you will be doing a lot of sleeping on you back. That was the most difficult thing for me because I have a hard time sleeping on my back.

I had my right knee done April 10th,,next week will be my last therapy,,,105degree flex,,still has some swelling,,use ice when I can,,,slept in chair first month,,on my back next month in bed,,then sparingly on my side,,,now I just wake up for potty trips,,,DO YOUR THERAPY,,if you don't you will suffer,,,I had a good young therapist,,he really made it easy,,,no hurry to get the other knee done tho,,,played golf last Tuesday felt great,,,more I move around the better,,,plan on keeping my string of trapping season going,,,I will be 78 in August,,,age matters,,my knee was bone on bone for 21 years,,,,I waited to long because there never seamed to be a good time to do it,,,,yesterday is better than tomorrow,,,,
