As said previously, there's certainly physics involved (gravity, mass/velocity and terminal energy) that can havoc on the human body and property even in the best of conditions, let alone not enough common sense and/or IQ involved. I mostly follow the Dirty Harry ay of viewing things I should do or try...

In the past I removed hazard trees as a side job. I gave up the gig because landowners always called me for a quote for the trees that required extensive rigging or a crane then wanted to nickel and dime the job as though the tree was in the middle of a 100 acre field. I can see how some lower experienced arborist could find themselves in a pickle and completely recognize some of the Darwin winner home owners climbing a ladder.
