Ok that sounds good. I want to use it as fresh from beginning of season till end since this is all i have for this season. Thanks You still have time to taint some bait, then add some Dobbin's Bait Solution, and fix it...before the season. But, better get started next week. 1) Grind up some meat. 2) Taint it for 3 weeks. 3) Add bait solution, and let it gas off for 3 weeks. 4) Bottle it up. 5) Throw it in a hole, and sharpen the skinning knife.

If i dont have to im not going to buy anything more for it than what i have. Any suggestions on lure i could add to it? I have over 60 different lures to use?. from food based to all call. I know i am going to take at least one jar and add skunk pee to it that i collected this spring. but just s drop or so.

Any chance you know how much per pound of meat? Depends whose bait solution you use. Dobbins is loaded with SB and comes with a lil extra baggie of it. Blackies and Jamesons and others use 1 cup/gal meat. You must ask the maker of the solution to know. All those guys are great and answer phones and emails quickly.

I have many many game cam pics this summer of coyotes going crazy for every cheap canned and dry dog food I placed. I put it in big dirtholes little dirtholes deep holes and shallow, buried it they dug it up. Moved a hundred yards and they found it within 2 days. Same results in different sections. I do like something potent when very cold, have you smelled some cans of cheap dogfood?

I hear you, but don't they love everything anyhow? If you are referring to all the baits that are talked about on this forum, then you are correct. People complicate bait because X Y and Z said they "found" the next best thing since sliced bread for an ingredient. They may not "love" it but they don't have to "love" it for a bait to get their attention. They do a solid job at digging out holes when testing, does that mean they love it? I'm no Dr. Dolittle so I assume they "like" it. Some people posses those powers on here, I'm sure they can tell you what is really on a canines mind. For me simplicity is key to attract canines. People who need to come up with these elaborate ingredient lists should prolly reevaluate trap placement. Because it is not hard to attract canines or any other critter to an area/hole that is baited, if you have them to begin with. More times than not, it's trapper error. jmo

Who knows, but my little guys make bait and get consistent dig outs from "desired" animals, and do it without magic "aging" boxes, buried baits, heat lamps or other contraptions. Bucket, lid and a storage place is all that is used, and of course the "magic" base with $100 an ounce ingredients because without those, the base is just a base.... Kids put this post in and smeared bait on the post. Pretty easy thing to do..agreed? Seems like if the trap doesn't connect then it must be the bait... That is why I believe if more emphasis was put on trap placement and stacking the chips against the target, the bait & lure aspect wouldn't be so complicated because it doesn't take much at all to get them there. jmo This is how I find out what they like. Punch hundreds of holes year round, because IMO that is how you find a solid consistent bait.

I'm guessing u guys think simple is better Yes sir, I believe so! Going off the Acronym "KISS" that is used so often on this forum why wouldn't it be? Let me ask you ??? What is the main function of bait at a set? I know some think there are many but ultimately what is the objective? If I didn't know better I would assume it would be used to draw that animal in and have it commit to an area where you had placed a trap...No? Then lemme ask you thiz...if a bait with three ingredients in it can get virtually the same response from your "desired target" what is the difference? Not sold by a big commercial dealer? Not being used by X amount of people? At the end of the day realistically all you're looking to do is get that animal curious to what is in the area or down the hole. You don't need elaborate ingredient lists to attract animals. JMO
