What your guy's opinion on the Montana #1 1/2 Special. Mostly just for water trapping. There a guy selling used ones for $7 and thought about getting some but wasn't sure.

For a 1.5 size trap they are very strong. My guess is they will hold yotes. I've had them for many years and they're still strong. $7 seems kind of high through. MTP has new ones for $10.

PM me for full details but I will not purchase anymore.
Yes, they are more than strong enough for coyote.
I've debated doing a full review (not good) but out of respect I have refrained.

For water trapping the Duke double jaw is the perfect trap in my opinion, and cheaper than what you are looking at.

Are those the ones with the rolled jaw faces? If so, pass for coon.

They are a remake of the old montgomery. In my opinion a better trap. Some think the old montgomery was the best fox trap ever made including me. Never did much water trapping with them but any coon or coyotes i caught were there waiting for me. I might be a little biased though because these are probably the traps i have up for sale. Lol. At 80 bucks for the doz that comes to about $6.67 a trap.
