I built a small table and mounted beam FLAT.
No need to bend over or reach up and pull down. FLAT mounted beam is easier on my back as I get older.
This method can be used at a work bench. Easy to take down in the off season and store.

slot for beam to fit in...

two 'L' brackets to bottom of beam and side of table...

Rock Solid...

Off topic- I attached/offset two block of wood to the side of my beam table. A stretcher board holder. This makes for hands free pinning down fur...

I'm gonna steal that stretcher board holder idea, Hern. Very smart and helpful.

When life gets me down..... you know hunting/trapping season is closed.

The concept is very interesting. I broke my back a couple times so this may be a good idea for me too.

I like the table with only 2 legs. Escaping from paradigms is good thinking.

Thanks for posting the photos.

LOL go ahead, I borrowed the idea from Rendezvous

Thank you. I got the idea from Randy Mohn, Bradford County, Pa. Randy's beam was setup on his work bench.
Paradigms, yes. Two legged table anchored to wall plays a syntactic role for rock solid stability combined with tight fit slot and 'L' brackets, all mutually incorporated . WF, you are the first to notice, I've posted this picture for many years on this site.

I go Horizontal like "Hern" except I use a 4" hinge. Swing it up as needed and take it away after the fur is put up.
