I don't have a lot of experience with Lynx, but any I have been around seemed to average smaller than the average Bobcat as far as weight. The darn things look bigger though, what with all that leg, feet, and fur!
Some of you Lynx trappers need to chime in.

This one weighed 35#. My taxidermist said it's the largest he's seen in VA.

Around here the only cats over 30 lbs are yellow and live under a big rock in the river. Well, I guess I should say that after 35 years of catching them I’ve never caught one over 30. Lots of guys say they catch them 35, 42, 38 but it’s odd they catch one of those “ big uns” when they first start out.

Caught a 25 and 28 lb. last year in NC.

Matt Lovallo, PGC Furbearer Biologist told me that the average adult male bobcat in PA is right at 24 lbs.

This is a medium sized lynx.Its weight was right on 25 pounds.
I don't weigh any fur.

35 lbs.

I weighed one 31#, heaviest I've caught.

Every so often I hear of someone getting one on trail camera, but they can't see the tail and think it's a cougar.

Over the last 12 years i've caught a few 40 and 40lbs plus cats,2 at 40,1 at 41,1 at 45 and my largest at 48lbs.I've caught a fair amount of cats 35 to 38lbs,my largest female weighed 28lbs.Here's a picture of a 40 and 48lb cat,both went 50" to the base of the tail with 10" base width,plus a live pic of the 48lb cat.Had one huge cat measure 54" to the base of the tail,cat weighed 37lb with a empty belly.It was also the BEST OF THE BEST MN bobcat i've ever caught,graded Western in 2007 Top lot that year was $580 i think,mine brought $280.Later years had northern cats grade top lots at $340,280 and 270.

Those cats make ours look like rabbits.

the biggest I have weighed is 41 lbs. but also have a 40 and a 38. All pretty looking toms.

I've never weighed any bobcats, but I doubt I've caught many toms that went much over 30 pounds. My most memorable is a medium sized female I caught on a log crossing when I was a kid. I saw that the trap was gone and stepped down off the bank looking toward the creek and almost stepped on her. She didn't care for it at all.
