Everyone should get a chance to visit it. If you are ever in New Mexico visit this Memorial between Angel Fire and Eagles Nest. www.vietnamveteransmemorial.orgI visited it when Dr. Westfall was in the final stages of completing the chapel. Very moving.
Sit on your horse on top of a ridge, look out across the country and tell me there is no God.

Here is more information for anyone interested in viewing. Dave
CRIVITZ, Wis. (WBAY) -- Crivitz has a population of less than 1,000 people, but village leaders are busy preparing to host nearly 15,000 guests Labor Day weekend.
The Wall That Heals “We got a call this past summer asking us if we would be able to host it and we of course said yes,” said John Deschane, the village president.
Nearly three years in the making, the Wall That Heals -- a three quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. -- will be on display in Crivitz.
“It's emotional, it tugs on my heartstrings,” said Deschane. “I was there, I’ve got a classmate whose name is on that wall, I’ve got some people in the area who served over there whose names are on the wall.”
A Vietnam Veteran himself, Deshcane is happy people in his community will be able to honor others who served.
“We're actively seeking names of people from our area and we're going to have a display of those names that have died from Vietnam related conditions. We want to be able to welcome them home and say thank you for your service,” said Deschane. M
Some businesses, such as the Iceburg, are also looking forward to the event and will be offering up something special for veterans.
“We are running a 25 percent off for veterans and active military members. We are starting on August 30 and the discount goes until September 2,” said Jennifer Bahrke, co-owner of the Iceburg.
A caravan will bring the wall through several towns in Marinette County on Tuesday, August 28 before making its final stop at Community Veterans Park where the wall will be set up.
“We're leaving Menominee Michigan around 5 p.m. and will be crossing into Marinette about 5:10 p.m. We'll be in Peshtigo about 5:20 p.m., in Coleman in Pound about 5:30, arrive in Crivitz about 6:15 p.m.” said Deschane.
The opening ceremony will be on Thursday, August 30 at 9 a.m.
The wall will be on display from August 30 to September 2.
Governor Scott Walker, Congressmen Mike Gallagher are expected to stop by the wall and give remarks on Saturday September 1.
Forever in debt to my Father who introduced me to trapping. May I be half the man he was.

It was in our town at least a decade ago. When you see the escalation of names, then all the names together on some very bad days over there, and see it eventually taper off, it has to choke you up if you are anywhere near the age I am, born in the 50's.
