Hey guys, who here used sheeps wool as lure holders? If so, do you use it clean or “ dirty “? I’ve heard that cleaning it before it’s cut can give you unwanted odors. I’ve always used the uncleaned wool, and was wondering if anyone likes to use it cleaned. Thanks

Dirty...

I think it helps more than it hurts...

I use it. I get it in a bag, cut a small piece off, put lure on it and shove it in the hole.

Clean or dirty, I’m not sure. It is however it comes in the bag.

I raise sheep and used to process wool into spinable fiber(card) and have used it both ways -- use the uncleaned it is a more natural attractant. What did the old bumper sticker say " eat more lamb, one million coyotes can't be wrong"

DIRTY hands down....Uncleaned wool works great all by itself. Why on gods green earth would one want to clean the sheep's natural scent off of the wool ?
