Yes it's following Jake Korell before his death. Seemed like a guy I would enjoy meeting. No bs and straight to the point. It was a pretty well laid out documentary in my opinion....not like a lot of the trapping stuff on the television these days.

Don't have Amazon Prime, Netflix or Hulu. Is there any other place I can watch this? Just have Dish network and my laptop.

Had the good fortune to spend some time with Jake at the 1838 Rondy in Riverton, WY back in 2008. Wonderful fella. Also got to tour his museum there in town.



Good story: Early on the week we were camped, a group from England arrived and set up their camp. They were dismayed to find out there would be no skinning of critters. Jake, upon hearing this, got back into his civvies, loaded up the truck and disappeared. He came back the next day with a beaver and a couple of badger. Then back into his buckskinner garb and commenced to skinning and putting up the fur for these pilgrims.

Always a smile on his face. Slept on a bedroll in his teepee. Kept the faith right up 'til the end.

Jake would fit in with Mountain men very easy. Tough trapper , great man.

I don't know anything about Dish. I rent shows and movies from Amazon through my computer so it should work through your laptop. Go to Amazon and search for Trapper Jake, that's how I found it. Or google "Trapper Jake Amazon Prime."

I bought the dvd. It’s good. The camera never turns away, they film it all.

I watched it last night. It was an excellent documentary. Jake Korell was a very interesting character to say the least. I hope I have his energy and mental faculty if I make into my mid-nineties.
