Is it just me, or does 3/4ths of the United States population now start every conversation, dialogue, or written topic with the word: ("SO") ?

Even Glenn Beck is overwhelmingly guilty of this abomination.

It is driving me nuts like fingernails raked across a blackboard.

Does this irritate anyone else or am I simply being too intolerant and sensitive.

Like is the word that drives me nuts. Seems youth anymore cannot complete a sentence without using it.

Well umm, we went trapping and umm, we caught a fox and umm, a rat or two.
Now that drove me crazy!

And if you ask someone a question, most of the time they will begin with, "Well, --------"

People just ain’t got no learnin in them. President Reagan used “well” a lot. Obama constantly said uh in which, at least to me, was irritating and the media proclaimed he was an articulate speaker.

Obama's constant uh/duh stuttering sounded like an ape trying to string together something coherent.

This is what I tell my wife:
“So” is not capital letter. “Like” is not a space. “Ya know” is not a comma. Punctuation is silent!

I wish kids still learned how to diagram sentences. It teaches you to eliminate unnecessary words. The worst part is they don’t even realize how stupid they sound.

Most common phrase in my neighborhood seems to be "So, how's your day going so far?" It was the first thing the plumber said as he walked in our front door this week. I said, "Well your here, so...."

Starting sentences with "So" has been bothering me for over a year now.

But what really drives me nuts is all the useless "actually"'s people are throwing in everywhere. It's always "actually" this and "actually" that. As opposed to what? Imaginarily? GRRRR!

I've noticed a couple youngsters (400 miles apart) that....instead of saying "I Don't Know" just hum/mutter the cadence that goes along with saying I Don't Know. Unh ONH Unh!

It's prolly not impordent.

I like to end my sentences with "so"

As if!

I knew twin brothers. One finishes his sentences with "an' everything"....the other brother hung himself a few years back. He once finished a speech with "that way we can kill several stones at once........."

The one still alive....if he's screwing a lug nut on a wheel stud with his right hand, his left hand is turning too.
If he's holding a cup of coffee and someone asks him what time it is, when he looks at his watch on the left wrist, he dumps coffee out with the right hand.

You are ABSOLUTELY right, that word used over and over in a interview drives me crazy.
