at your age probably a life time repair with JB
Hey beav, I think thats a HIT
, wire wheel the surface , drill the holes , acetone clean mix and use more than you think it really needs sand it smooth and paint it after 24 hour cure and it might be a lifetime repair for me.
if it wears again you can always sand and add more
the little keels don't leak into the boat any way , some actually have drain holes in them, mine has an out right hole worn in it but the boat was the right price of free.
they are making an epoxy product now for sealing rivets also , you wire wheel the area then hit all the rivets with a lp torch to make sure thy are dry then apply this thin epoxy and it creeps in around the rivet drawn in by the warm from torching them and seals them up

Well IT's done we will see If It keeps out the water tomorrow.
I wire brushed It with a drill attachment. I had some acid that I used to etch aluminum so the paint would hold. That should have cleaned It. Then I washed off the acid. Warmed up the area In question with my torch and spread on the JB weld. Time will tell.

There’s a much better product than JW weld called Belzona. They have different types depending on the application. I’ve used it and it works. Check out thier YouTube videos and follow the directions and you’ll get a 100x better job than JB Weld.
