Well It was a success. Well It didn't leak when I put some water In the boat. We will see how It works out once I'm out In the marsh.

But I did find a couple of seepers so I'm about to fix them next. But since they are so small I thought I'd just give them a touch of Flex seal. Any one ever use that stuff?

Might work on a non flexible surface. I tried flex seal on my trapping gantlets and it was a total failure!

Ive used a little flex seal before. Its a temporary fix, wont take long before it peels off like regular cheap silicone.

Stay with the JB weld anything on outside of boat.. I have a small spot on the bottom of my boat that I patched with JB. Heaven for bid I ever have to take it to get really welded. Guys that weld aluminum hate that JB because it makes spot hard to weld even when it's all cleaned off.
Anyway the spot I did got dragged and run across and in the ice last fall/winter. Still not leaking. I didn't have any of the down time I would of having to take it get it welded.
I did use Flex Seal on inside one old 14ft V-boat I have where the rivet line was leaking. Can only tighten those so much by hammering and can't weld them because I'm told there is thin rubber gasket in there..So I use black Flex Seal along inside and it actually looks like it belongs where it is.

I love JB Weld. I'm planning to test it on a few trap mods to see how it holds up. It hasn't failed me yet. Any reason why you're reluctant to use JB Weld on the seepers?
