So two years ago the man who owns the land I trap beaver and otter on passed away. I had no contact information for his kids. Yesterday I was able to get in touch with them finally. They inform me that they have been looking for me as well since their father never gave them my name. The beaver without him nor myself keeping them in check have flooded over 10 acres of pasture land as well have cause the erosion and near complete destruction of a 8 foot concrete culvert. I went out today to scout and set traps. It nearly brought me to tears to see what has happened in just two years without us holding the front lines...water levels 24"+ higher than it should be... A new series of dams the largest being 36" tall and 300 yards long... Oh the work ahead of me... It just amazes me how much damage can be done if left unchecked...

I appreciate it. I've busted one dam completely to allow water from upper ponds to move on out. I've got 17 traps total out today. Mix of conni's and foot traps... It was definitely odd that I couldnt make my normal sets due to them being 24" under water.
