I load my own. Out of my 870 they shoot patterns better than most 12 ga lead loads with turkey chokes at 40 yards. I think I had about 140 in the 10 inch circle. 20 inch is a bit thin tho. The 20ga with 1 5/8 oz load is about right. Lots of holes in the 10 and enough in the 20 incase he moves on ya. They will kill well past where you should be shooting at them tho.

A good friend of mine used those last year in a 20 and had excellent results.

The largest amount of shot you can get in a 20 ga. 1 1/4 and that's a 3 inch. How do you pack an 1 5/8 in a 20 ga. 2 3/4 in shell

The manager of the lease I am a member of was telling me about these last year. He really likes them said they are deadly on turkey and recommends I try them.

Eh...wot?

Obviously your limiting factor will be the gauge, not the ammo. But I would think that's the best ammo choice for a .410.

Im on a turkey forum and often hear fools going on about trying 80 yard shots with these.Im afraid it may encourage others to try such stupidity. My take is that a person who shoots a smaller gauge is now in the game and they are a big help when the bird hangs up,just out of range.Common sense applies. The real fun is calling them in close not sniping them anyway.

I would never use a .410 for turkey anyway. It’s not legal in my state anyway.

Tss weights 18gg/cc and lead is closer to 11g/cc. Limiting factor is the wad. You have to use a wad without a cushion.
