I haven't been able to find, with out another's comment, just what Ms Kelley said. Lot of video, just not just her words. Many telling what she meant.

From what I do remember from what was said, she was just saying what she remembered as a child and young adult. With out hearing all of what was actually said, I do remember black face and white face in shows and movies as a kid. I remember it as poking fun at each other. I don't remember as having thoughts of racial put downs just as making fun of each others different personality.

I fined it amusing that she didn't realize her blending in with the wolves when she left fox wasn,t going to be a cakewalk.

I was raised in the south by northern parents. I had two Black men I hunted with on regular occasions. One for coon and one for rabbits. They never commented on this subject. That was 50 years ago.

I hate Megan Kelly. I do agree with her that there is a big difference in wearing black face to denigrate blacks as a whole, then in portraying a specific person, such as Diana Ross, who was her example. I don't see how dressing up like someone you like or idolize, of another race, is in the least racist. There is no intent to demean.

I also hate rosie odonnel. I found out one of her sons is a Marine, which makes me hate her less.

Who remembers Charlie Chan the detective back in the 60' he was a white guy with a rubber band on his head to make the eyes slant. I think the problem was they would not hire Blacks and Asians for the rolls so they had to doll up White folks to be the lead or major players back then.

Today one race can say anything they want but the other cannot respond or it's turned into a race issue then. Seen on Survivor the mean Black lady made a comment about the Black guys skin color and it is OK had a White player made the same stupid comment they would be off the show.

The wife loved the show with Kerry Washington working in DC (Scandal) and in the end the plot was the Country was run by a Black man in a secret covert B16 organization, she later went on in a interview to say she was a strong Black woman to be successful. Just seems being talented and accepted as a actress was not enough who did she think was watching her show to make it a hit? LOL


Until it's only about us and not us/them we will not get ahead it seems. Now if a guy or gal made that same comment about being a strong White person the Country would lose their minds today.
