I went to college with students whose family's owned large tracks of land. (Some over 20,000 acres.)I got to know quite a few land owners that had blacks living on their farms. What I saw were folks working for the land owner and the landowner providing a place to live, expenses paid, and spending money. There were whites in the mix. There was no welfare then. There were no factories there, for work.

I don,t ever remember a remark as you made. It was always the same response I taught my children. "Yes sir and no sir". "Yes mam and no mam".
The same response I learned as a child. It was respect for your elders. Black or white.

That is how I got into trapping. I made a trade with a trapper from Ohio. He helped me so I flew him down before trapping season and lined him up with 36,000 acres of land to trap near Selma Alabama for my part of the trade. The landowners were so grateful that they gave him freezer's for his fur and a place to stay. That was when fur was high, in late 70,s. He showed me 3 conibear sets and I went from there.

He trapped for two seasons. I remember him catching many animals. More than he had ever caught before in the same length of time.

Believing that equality is the real goal here might be misleading today it does not appear that it would be enough the way the sports and entertainers complain even when they are getting more then the majority of the rest of the Nation!

Minorities play the race card because like almost everyone else they want more than they have and it works. Many white people have burdened themselves with guilt from the actions of some of their ancestors. Until we just judge each other by our abilities and actions, there will continue to be animosity between the races.

I looked it up. rosie adopted two boys and 1 girl and paid for 2 of her "wifes" to have in vitro fertilization to make 2 more girls.

rosie's first marriage was canceled when gay marriages were declared illegal, though she was already no longer with her.

rosie's second "wife" killed herself after rosie took custody of their daughter.

rosie's oldest daughter fled, said rosie smoked lots of marijuana, had nannies raise all the children and had little interaction with them.
