Whatever you do, never doubt yourself as a trapper...those are some awesome catches!

Those are great catches. I'm not the best of trappers bit I consider myself to be a fair trapper. You got me beat for sure. Do you run your own line and do your put up? Just asking because I have 2 girls that are young yet but they love to go trapping with Dad.

Yep I run my own working man's trapline. I work a fulltime job during the day so I check and dispatch at 5am before work then skin and do remakes after work at 5pm. I put up all my canines like fox and coyote but I tan everything else like coon and skunk for my fur hat business. My kids are 2 and 8 so they come with me as well, therefore my entire trapline is accessible from the truck because I can't leave them behind.

Very cool critters and pictures. Great job, young lady!
I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Wonderful catches , SG ! As mentioned , a beauty of a cat- how exciting to see that badger and those huge trenches they dig up - behavior observation at its best. Cant beat a fisher , either.....except for gulo Im glad you mentioned your fur hat business. Ill keep you in mind . Keep up your good work !

Yes he/she sure was pretty! It was hard to let him go but I had a tag last year and it takes 6+ years for a tag here so I had no choice. He has been killing the neighbor's peacocks though so I directed her to try and get a nuisance tag from our DNR, so hoping that I can maybe have a chance to harvest him again this season if she can get a tag, though I'm uncertain if I'd be allowed to keep the pelt regardless, as if I recall, the nuisance tags are for LIVE relocation to public lands only! Good grief!
