1978-1981...Chapter President,Reporter, Star Greenhand, State Regional Vice President, National finalist in Nursery Operations & American Farmer...probably the best time of my high school years...still maintain close friendships with members of the State Officer team I was a part of.

Vo Ag classes and FFA were about the only reasons to go to school after football season was over. Reporter, President and just about every activity a member could participate in, 84-88. I use what I learned in vo ag classes and FFA every day. Shakespeare from English class, not so much. We had then Vice President Bush speak at the national convention in Kansas City in 1987. He was great, but I bet President Trump was electric. I couldn't agree more. From learning how to properly tie a tie, to utilizing parliamentary procedure - daily things in my work world - not to mention the leadership and public speaking skills, FFA provided me with countless tools that I use regularly. My advisor was the most giving and kindest man I have ever known.
