Ya know, I've had about 15 trapping sheds over the years and have never had a permanent one that I could put time into.

I'm coming up on my 15th and final move in 25 years. Seems we pruned a bunch of the shed talk.

I'm squaring away my house for retirement from the Marines. My new shop is 30x50 and has a 20x50 lean to as well. Who's got the ideas and pictures for me to start modifying?

Non-scandalous pictures, please. Lol.

Kansas Cates, I reckon I can do that. But if people don't start posting in here I'm gonna have to start building the wall myself.

My idea - find you a good old WWII vintage or earlier Pot Belly Stove to heat the place with.

30x 50 holy crap you can park a reefer truck in their and still have tons of room! Start buying high intensity fluorescent lights! a buddy of mine built one a tad smaller30x 40 and heats it with radiant floor heat hooked to a wood boiler. we zoned it so his drying room stays around 50 degrees the rest stays 65-70 no fans! Having a blank canvas would be great! The next reality show will be pimp my FUR SHED!!

Tony, I don't smoke reefer. I don't k ow what I'd do with a truck load of it. Lol.

The entire shop has heated floors. I don't think it's on zones though...thst would have been nice. But I'll look today. Yeah, she's big.

Saskers, get out of my office. Lol. Those hooks are for a catch all and the metal strips are magnets for knives - neither of which are good in a prison.

Peekers, I have 2 floor drains. And a shower and kitchen and bathroom. Plenty of fluorescent lighting already. It's basically an empty rectangle now.

Prorat, I worked out of a 5x8 shed for a few years.

You have a kitchen, bathroom, and shower in your new fur shed????
Man with heated floors you would have the sweetest "doghouse" to hang out in if the Mrs tossed you out for the night!
Run cable out there so you can have the news or a game on while skinning, and you are set!!!
You need a fridge for beers and snacks, and a card table so rest of us can come over and have something to do while we give you advice on your new fur shed setup.
Jim grin

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Check out any of the LED ceiling light fixtures from Menards, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. Lot of light for much less wattage, never have to replace a bulb. Put two in my garage and one in the bathroom. Almost like turning on the sun. I have talked with farmers that have replaced all of their fluorescent fixtures in barns with led's.
